Luckett's {Love}

Luckett's, Luckett's, LUCKETT'S!!!!!
Whew! What a day, what a day! Cassie, Andi, and I had an absolute blast!! It was a bright sunny day and we were shopping fools. I, of course, only bought small "packable" items but there was tons of gorgeou pieces of furniture to drool over! We met lots of super nice people and had some good quality girl time. It was awesome!! Here are a few pics.  (WARNING: Picture overload)

(Darcy - the below picture was taken for you. See why?)
I would love to have taken this chair home, but I don't think it would have fit in my carry-on :(

Shopping with these two is the best!! If only my sis and sis-in-law were here, it would have been a perfect 5-some.

Remember how I told you that I was the LUCKY winner of Miss Mustard Seed's "Who traveled the farthest to get to Luckett's" contest?? Well, her booth was the first stop of the day and did not disappoint. She sold a ton of stuff the day before but there was still plenty to pick from :)
I used my $50 credit to buy these awesome vintage marquis letters...
And this gorgeous grain-sack style table runner.

Happy happy!!!

We also spent some time in the Old Luckett's store......

Goofballs. Haha!

Tres Chic Cassie!
Cheeeeese!
At the end of the day, Cassie scored this awesome industrial style bin. SUPER jealous about it. Kind of in bitter-town actually. Not gonna lie. I think she's planning to use it for an herb garden which I think is a great idea :)

Wanna see my other treasures?? Take a look....

I got my boy some marquis letters for his room.

I also discovered that along with being obsessed with my last initial "R," I also love the #4....

I got this pretty tea towel...

And these awesome vintage spools for the yards of Baker's twine that I have all tangled up at home.

It was such a happy day of treasure hunting :) Can't you tell?!

After we left Luckett's, we headed to downtown Frederick for lunch and some window shopping. Cassie and Andi ditched me for a quick modeling class and this is what they learned...
Money WELL spent girls!!!!

I am having a blast on this trip so far and the week has just begun. Monday night is wine and design!!

I-Can't-Wait!!!!!!

Stay tuned people!

Ok, so it's not actually "old" old.

As many of you may know, I love flea marketing. It's definitely one of my most favorite things to do! A while back I bought this stool at a flea market for $3. Luckily it was a small flea market because I didn't have my trusty flea marketing cart with me, and I hate having to carry my treasures around. It hinders the hunting if you know what I mean.
I had been looking for an old stool to use as a plant stand next to my high boy in the den (I mean, den/office/craft room/guest room).
I liked the aged look it had, but I wanted it to pop more. I decided that I would paint it RED (I'm kinda lovin' the red, aqua, white, thing I have happening in my house right now), and I also thought it would look cool if I taped off the bottom of the legs before I painted it. I flipped it over and taped up all 4 legs...
...and then I noticed underneath the seat of the stool was a Bed, Bath, & Beyond price tag for $19.99. Ha ha! apparently my "old" stool from the flea market, wasn't actually old. But, who cares right!!? Ha ha!!! Moving on. I took it out back and gave it a few coats of red spray paint.
After it was dry, I took it out front and had a little fun with my sander :)
Before distressing:
Then I loaded her back in and did a little happy dance :)
I think the legs look cool like that....gives it a bit more interest :)
It's ok if it's not old old, right? It's someone's old stool that is new to me, right? ha ha, it's not like I'm taking it to the antiques roadshow or anything like that! It's a freakin' plant stand, right!? Can you hear me trying to convince myself?? ha ha!!! It's not antique and that's ok with me ;)

I like it! It's happy, and red, and "new-old." Ha ha!!!
Happy Wednesday everyone :)

R u in SoCal???

Happy happy Tuesday everyone!!! If any of my lovely reader are from SoCal (I know some of you are), PLEASE consider coming to Old Towne Orange to attend this awesome flea market/holiday boutique that my friend is putting on in her front yard. It is going to be awesome!!! PLUS - 10% of the sales will be going to help out the victims of the tragic Seal beach Salon shooting that happened recently (for those of you non-local peeps, an ex husband of one of the hair stylists after going to court over the custody of their kids came in to the salon one day and literally shot the place up. He killed a lot of people. Some were hair stylists, others were innocent people simply getting their hair done. It was a horrible horrible tragedy and makes me sick to my stomach just thinking about it).
Here is the flyer for the boutique:
PLEASE come by and say hi if you have some time. I am bringing a lot of my Etsy shop inventory as well as some fun flea market finds and some furniture pieces. It should be a GREAT day!!

I also wanted to share some pics with you of a new item coming to my Etsy shop (I am seriously in love with these...they make me feel so happy when I look at them). Take a look.....

Aren't they FUN!!?? Hee hee, they make me smile :)

Pom poms = HAPPINESS to meeeeeeeeeeeee!!! Yay!
Ok, that's all :)

Yippee for the Flea!

The Flea market this past weekend was a HUGE success. Not only was it profitable, but it was loads of fun!! It was a SUPER hot Southern California Sunday too, which made for even more of an adventure :)
The way it works is, you can start setting up your booth as early as 4:15am (ha ha. NO). You must be in your booth setting up by 6:15am, or you lose your space all together. The flea market actually opens to the public at 7:30am (but there are all kinds of early birds and vendors wandering around and getting in the way). We got to our booth around 5:45am, and most of the vendors were already half-way set up, if not all the way done. Needless to say, it was GO time! We got our booth set up, we moved our U-haul to the parking area, and we let the fun begin!!! Sadly we were too busy to get many pictures, but here are a few so you can get the idea :) (click on the pics to zoom in and see all of our awesome goods).

And as previously mentioned, if you click to zoom on these next two pics, you will see signs that have my favorite word on them "SOLD."

And these 3 cuties came to visit us and had a little picnic in the shade.
Lisa, Kristin, and I made lots of sales, met tons of nice people, had a bunch of friends and family come to visit us, and we had a wonderful time!!!! We definitely want to do this again!!!
