What do you do when you find a duplicate swan at Godwill for $3 and can't stand leaving it in the store for someone else to buy?? If your answer was spray paint it turquoise, you're right!!! And, if you thought I would want to sell it in my Etsy shop, you would be right. BUT, if you watched the wind knock it over as it was drying and leave the back all scuffed up, you would realize that it was meant to be mine and tell me to keep it. Wouldn't you??!?

so i was at my thrift store (yep, ive claimed it) today and someone had corralled all the swans to one shelf. this is very unlike them but im thinking they must be on to your swan trend = )
ReplyDeleteok, so if a situation arises like that again, ask yourself, what would cassie tell you to do? and the answer is always buy it!! :) oh how i wish we could go thrifting together. our husbands would love it, too. ;)
ReplyDeleteYou really had no choice but to keep the swan ;) And that little tray is awesome! I can see lots of fun vignettes in your future!
ReplyDeletehaha! Totally would have done the same thing!! ASFL!!!
ReplyDeleteI love your turquoise swan and so glad you kept it. Meant to be!
ReplyDeleteOhh how I love your decorations!! And your "frugalness". I would have done the same exact thing.
ReplyDeleteYou seriously find THE BEST stuff!! Of course you had to keep the swan!! I wasn't a huge swan fan before, but I'm loving all of yours!
ReplyDeleteHooray for not leaving the adorable swan behind (in the Goodwill store that ALWAYS smells like poop, I might add)! Hooray! That is one lucky swan to get to come home with you and to get to STAY!!! Good choice! (now give him/her an eye...please sissy! LOL)

What color spray paint is the blue? I can not for the life of me find a nice bright turquoise spray paint! Everything I try is too green toned.
