We started the chalkboard countdown to Valentine's Day (this pic was taken a few days ago, I think we should be on 30 now). My friend recently asked me to make a burlap LOVE banner for her to use as a photo prop while photographing a wedding. With my leftover scraps, I just had to make one for myself. Now all my friends are e-mailing me orders for them. Classic! There are already a ton of people that have tutorials in blogland, and some people selling similar ones on Etsy. It's a pretty basic craft and pretty inexpensive too. Just cut triangles out of burlap (I used a triangle cut out of cardstock for my template), paint on letters or shapes with basic craft paint, and hot glue the triangles to twine. Easy Peasy. I just free-handed these letters and the heart, but I plan to make some fun ones using stencils made with my cricut. A fun beachy one would be good for the summer too. The possibilities are endless :)
