Happy Friday everyone!!! This is a bit of a random post, but I have a few furniture makeovers in the works so definitely stay tuned :)
First up (and by far the most random) is what happens when my hubby is at work and I have to feed myself. Let me start out by reminding you that I can't cook (& am resistant to learn, ha ha). I just feel like all of my creative energy is allocated elsewhere, and since I am in general a pretty picky eater, why bother!? Anyway, when my hubby is at work (he works 24 hour shifts as a firefighter), I let myself off the hook for dinner (aka I eat cereal). Last night, I felt like eating a salad for some reason so I threw some randomness in a bowl:
Romaine, croutons, artichoke hearts, tomatoes, and yep...chicken nuggets shaped like dinosaurs. Ha ha. Dinner of champs right there. Oh and that's a random hamburger bun toasted with butter. Mmmmm. Don't worry people, my kids eat well balanced meals :)
Next, I made some fun "American" pom poms for some fourth of July decor :)
I chose aqua instead of Navy because I can. And because it's WAY cuter like that :)
This one is mine, but if you want one you may see one or two in my Etsy shop :)
Last but not least, I got around to making my summer list. I was inspired by Meg's list, and Andi's too :)
I feel like it's hard to make my writing look pretty with chalk. Andi, where did you get your chalk pens???! I need some.
Noah is already super excited to start checking things off the list :)
Have a great weekend everyone!

I love the pom pons and that chalkboard is awesome. I love the idea.
ReplyDeleteThat "dinner" is pretty pathetic ;) I was with you until you added the chicken nuggets and the hamburger bun! I LOVE the 4th of July pom poms! And I really like that you didn't go with the traditional blue because now you can leave it up past the 4th and it will still be such as cute! You have a pretty ambitious To-Do list. Can't wait to hear how it all turns out!
ReplyDeleteI love your summer board! I was wanting to make one, but haven't yet! Cute poms!!
ReplyDeletei think it looks awesome! your writing is prettier than mine!
ReplyDeleteand i will say the same thing i said to and... it's perfect except it is missing one thing...
hang out with cassie. ;)
Love the list! I got my chalk pens at Michaels, they weren't cheap but I used a coupon :-) And i'm kinda a freak about lettering...spent a lot of time as a kid just doodling.
ReplyDeleteYour dinner cracked me up! And the pom pom garland is so pretty!
Oh, Ali, if I didn't live on the other side of the country from you, I'd come fix you dinner. Chicken nuggets in salad?!? Blasphemy! :) Love the pom-poms and your list of summer to-do's is a great idea. My son is all ready to see Cars 2!
ReplyDeletecute chalkboard idea! I'm always looking for sayings and this to motive : )
