Pretty enough to re-sell!

Happy Saturday friends!! I'm getting ready to head for the hills to ride horses in LA for my friend's big 30th b-day, woo hoo! If I'm being honest, horses kind of freak me out. They're just so big and unpredictable, but I'm so excited to have some girl time and celebrate one of my best friend's birthdays!

Remember this girly desk?? Laminate. Gold trim. In need of a bit of love??

Funny story about this desk actually. The lady who I bought Hayden's dresser from on Craig's List, saved my number and called me to see if I wanted to buy the matching desk. Why yes, yes I do! Ha ha. It has really pretty girly lines and is a solid piece of furniture. It just needed to be spruced up a bit and that's just what I did.

I know it doesn't look like a dramatic change because it went from white to white. But, I filled in some deep scratches, primed and painted it a fresh white, and I sprayed and distressed the hardware. Now she's pretty enough to re-sell. I flirted with the idea of keeping her for my new crafting desk, but I feel she is too feminine to be in our den in the middle of our home. She belongs in a girl's room as a vanity or in the perfect shabby chic home. Plus, I need WAY more drawers than this, and I'm picturing what the pretty white desk top would look like after a few sloppy projects. ICK. So, she'll come to the flea in July and hopefully find a great home.
